Matchbook Romance Lyrics
 | | Matchbook Romance formed in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., in 1997, playing tightly-wound emo-punk with the usual focus on inner strife and expressing pain through harmonized choruses and dramatic guitar moves. The band also incorporates a sharp melodicism that pushes their best stuff into punk-pop territory. Shortly after signing with Epitaph, Matchbook Romance scrambled to put together their debut, 2003's Stories And Alibis; that same year, they joined the Vans Warped Tour for the first time. |

Matchbook Romance Song Lyric:
14 Balloons
What makes us burn every bridge we cross?
Or walk aimlessly into oncoming traffic?
Third times a charm, but would we even get that far?
Though I owed it to everyone, but I really owe it to myself.
Yeah, I've got fourteen balloons
But, I think I'll let them take to the sky
Yeah, I've got fourteen balloons
We can count them one by one, and say goodbye
